Cricket Wireless launches cheapest Android phone, Huawei Ascend

First Android phone wireless cricket, the Kyocera Zio, was one of the least expensive models around when it launched earlier this year (to $ 249) and the low-cost carrier has announced a new phone that reduces the entry point.

Huawei Ascend (which I belive is the U8230) is an Android 2.1 entry-level phone that cricket will sell for $ 149 without a beginning octobre.Le Ascend offer contract viewing HVGA 3.5, 7200A 528 processor MHz Qualcomm MSM and 3 megapixels.

Specifications correspond to those of the first generation G1 HTC, but it's hard to complain about a new smartphone that only costs $ 149 and does not offer contrat.Cricket also require one of the cheapest smartphone plans, which runs $ 55 for one number unlimited talk, text and web.

It is nice to see cricket offer Android phones this inexpensive off-contract, but I wish that more carriers would deploy prioritized data plans to reduce the total cost of ownership.

Ascend look like something that recommend you to a friend? what are the other features would you see in a low-cost Android phone?
